he flagship brand of Banyan Tree, Ruhaniyat is the only festival of its kind featuring works of Sufi Saints and Mystics from around the world that has been drawing thousands of loyal audiences year after year. In fact more than being a festival of music, it has become more of a movement of global brotherhood, peace, harmony and an inward journey to oneself.
Since its launch in the year 2001 the festival continues to be among the most eagerly awaited events across the country. As a rule there are no big stars featured in Ruhaniyat but actual practitioners, carriers of living traditions. Fakirs, bauls, mystic healers, monks, folk singers, kabirpanthis, jikir-jari singers, warkaris, shabad singers, qawwals from across India as well as performers from other countries like Egypt, Turkey, Iran, Sudan, Bulgaria, Norve, Senegal, Mongoliya, Siberia, Belgium… all share the same platform as they bring alive the messages of great saints, Sufis and mystics with their powerful presentations. In a span of few hours the audience is transported to another realm of love, peace and positivity.
